At a regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors for Frederick
County, Virginia, held at the Court House thereof on Monday Sept. 11, 1933,
Present C. I. Brumback, Chairman, - P hil H. Gold, C. M. Rosenberger,
E. W. Adams, W. H. Branner, Lee N. Whitacre, Commissioner of Revenue, B. P. Harrison,
Commonwealth, Attorney, Harry L. McCann, ' and Robt. S. Smith, Treasurer .
MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
RETAIL BEER LICENSE
On motion of Mr Branner, seconed by Mr Gold it is unanimously ordered
that the retail license for beer shall be five dollars, (55.00), for the balance of-the
calander year of 1933, and thereafter the said retail license for beer shall be ten
dollars, (410.00), for each calauder year or fractional part thereof, and said license
shall be issued and collected in the same manner as the State Retail Beer License.

REPORT OF MISS FARRAR
Miss "lizabeth Farrar, submitted her report for the months of July
and August, 1933, and on motion the same was unanimously approved.
REPORT OF J. M. MASSE?
J.."'. Massey, Supt. of the County Rome submitted his report for
the month of August, 1933, and on moti,-n the same was unanimously approved.
ALLOWANCE TO THE RED CROSS
On motion it is unanimously ordered that, beginning Sept. 1, 1933,
an allowance of twenty five, (25.00) be made to the Red Cross, for its assistance in
looking after the poor of Frederick County, Said allowance to be paid monthly.
ATTENDANCE
It is ordered thy, the Clerk draw warrants for attendance of this
meeting and any other meeting for which attendance has not been paid.
CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL

A delegation of citizens appeared before the Board and requested
it to give the school Board pervission to borrow a sufficient amount of money to erect
a central high school at Winchester, and on motion the School Board in requested ( if it
desires).to submit a report to the . at its next regular meeting, of the approximate
cost of the building and transportation of the pupils.

FIRE CONTROL
"By motion made and carried at a meeting of the Board of supervisors
of Frederick County held at the Court House on Sept. 11, 1933, the Acting State Forester
is hereby requested to organize Frederick County for forest fire control in accordance
with the provisions of section 541 of the Code as amended by the Acts of 1926."
G. P. BOZELL, RESIDENT ENGINEER
G.—P. Bozell, Resident Engineer, was present to receive any suggestion'
from the Board in reference to the Highways.
It is ordered that the board do now adjourn.

On motion of Mr. Gold it is unanimously ordered that C. I. Brumback
renew all notes as they may come due.
BUILDING OFHIGH SCHOOL
Mr. L. D. Kline, Superintendent of Schools and Fred Thwaite a member
of the School Board, made a detailed report on the proposition of building a High
School in Gainesboro, Opeq}non, Shawneq and Stonewall Districts. The matter was
deferred to a latbr date on account of the financial conditions of the Ounty.
