Bishop, AICP, Deputy Director - Transportation RE: Six Year Road Improvement Program Public Hearing DATE: September 16, 2008 This is a public hearing item to consider the updates of the Interstate, Primary, and Secondary Road Improvement Plans. You will find that the , , , e are no significant changes to the Interstate plan. In the Primary plan, the South Frederick County Parkway has been included in accordance with the updated land use plan for that area. In the Secondary Road Improvements plan, a number of projects have been added or removed due to completion or in recognition of County priorities. There has been no need to reprioritize the Rural Hardsurfacing projects this year due to a lack of funding for new projects. The Planning Commission reviewed these plans on 08/06/2008 and the Transportation Committee's review was held on 07/25/2008. Both bodies recommended approval. If the Board should find these plans acceptable, staff is seeking action in the form of the attached resolutions. Attachments •IM 107 North Kent Street, Suite 202 • Winchester, Virginia 22601 -5000
