October 10, 1960 Grant of Variance
At the Regular'Meeting of the Board of the Frederick County Sup- ervisors held on October 10, 1960. VARIANCE - WINCHESTER CONCRETE PRODUZS, INC. Upon motion of (Prover Teets and seconded by W. Hurl Himelright, the following Petitignjkthe Winchester Concrete r Products, Inc:, for a Variance was referred to the Frederick County Planning Commissions The undersigned, Winchester Concrete Products, Incorp- orated, respectfully petitions the Frederick County Board of Sup- ervisors and the Frederick County Planning Commission for a vari- ance from existing zoning'regulations for the purpose of convert. ing an existing residence located on the lands of said corporation to use a an office building for said corporation, the approximate', location of said building as shown on the attached plat,. The corporation contemplates remodeling the existing dwelling to change its appearance to that of an office building including the erection on said building of a sign approximately thirty (30x') feet long and three (3'-) feet high designating the name of the corporation; building is situate on lands of the cor- poration contiguous to land on which is now situated the corpor- ation's plant for the manufacture of concrete products; as shown on the attached plat the corporations land extends to a point approximately two hundred (200 feet distant from U. S. Route 11 (Martinsburg'Pike) along the Walltown Pike. The Frederick County Board of Supervisors and Planning Commission has previously granted a variance to the corporation for the purpose of erecting a new office building just East of house now proposed to be remodeled but the corporation has found that the construction of such a new building is not economically advantageous.
