At the Regular Meeting of the Board of Supervisors of Frederick County, Virginia
held in the Supervisor's Room over the Clerk's Office on the 9th day of October, 1961.

The minutes of the last meeting held on the 11th day of September, 1961 were read
and approved.

FREY AND COMPANY RAILWAY CROSSING THE BRUCETOWN ROAD
Upon motion of Grover Teets and seconded by W. Hurl Himelright, the following
resolution was passed:

Be it resolved that the application of the Pennsylvania Railroad and The Penndel

Company to cross Virginia Secondary Route 672 East of Clearbrook, Virginia pursuant to the
provisions of Section 56 -27 of the Code of Virginia according to the plans submitted to the Va.
I
Department of Highways and subject to approval by said Department, be and the same is hereby
so requested of the Virginia Department of Highways by the Board of Supervisors.
PICTURES IN THE FREDERICK COUNTY COURT HOUSE
Upon motion duly made and seconded it is ordered that name plates be placed on
all pictures in the Frederick County Court House.
Joseph A. Massie, Jr., Commonwealth's Attorney was granted authority to install
the same. Total expense not to exceed $100.00.
Upon motion duly made and seconded, the Board agreed to accept the 011 Portrait
of Judge Richard Parker as offered by Foster M. Reeder of "Avening ", Newburg, Maryland, husband
of Nina Elizabeth Stoddard Reeder great niece of Judge Richard Parker. Further the Board is
very grateful for said Portrait.
PLANNING COMMISSION - SUBDIVISIONS
Upon motion duly made and seconded the following resolution was passed, be it
resolved that the commission study and report to the Board of Supervisors the problems concerning
subdivisions in Back Creek and Gainesboro Districts.

Upon motion of Grover Teets and seconded by C. E. Garber the following resolution
was passed:
Be it resolved that the state legislature pass a statute permitting the continuance
of that section of the Court House property "Known:as the Plaza" be continued as such and as a
metered parking area for the orderly parking and flow of motor vehicle traffic. The same to
become effective upon the date of passage.

SHAWNEE LAND - PLATS
Upon motion duly made and seconded the following resolution was passed.
Be it resolved that the final plats of Shawnee -land Section "B" lots C -N Section
" U" lots 1 -22, Section "V" lots 25 -46, Section "CC" lots 13 -19, and 1 -7, Section "DD" lots 13 -19
and 1 -7 and the deed of dedication be and the same are hereby approved and may be recorded among
the land records of Frederick County in accordance with the Statutes and ordinances of Virginia
and Frederick County.
WILDE ACRES PLATS
Be it resolved that the final plats of Wilde Acres, Inc. for Section 17 Block
11011' Loots 1 - 5.

LOCAL PLANNING ASSISTANCE
Upon motion duly made and seconded the following resolution was passed.
Be it resolved that the Planning Commission of Frederick County consider and
report back to the Board of Supervisors their recommendation for further action by the Board in
providing for a local planning program for Frederick County, including the things to be done as
recommended by the Department of Conservation and Economic Development, Division of Industrial
Development and Planning of the Commonwealth.
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE
Accounts totaling $5,371.47 were approved and ordered to be paid from the General
County Funds by warrant 20978 to 21022 inclusive; Livestock, Fowl Claims and Henry Bursey's
salary totaling $357.70 were approved and ordered to be paid from the Dog Fund by warrants
1993 to 2000 inclusive.
