Garber and seconded by Paul ,Luttrell the follow- ing resolution was passed: It is hereby resolved that Byron 0. Brumback, Chairman of the Boa rd of Supervisors of Frederick County, Virginia, be and he is hereby authorized on behalf of Fred- erick County, Virginia, to enter into a written contract with Philip Williams and Mary Williams for the purch for the sum of $200.00 of a certain ten (10) foot right of way over and along i the property of the said Williams situate in Shawnee Magisterial District, Frederick County, Virginia, which said right of way begins at the Sulphur Springs Road and extends southwestwardly along the eastern boundary of the existing right of way of said County over the said Williams land a distance of approximately 440 feet to the land of the County of Frederick; and (2) that the said Byron 0. Brumback be and he is hereby authorized to accept, on behalf of Frederick County, Virginia, a deed f or said right of way, and to execute such.acceptance upon the face of said deed. VARIANCE - WINCHESTER CONCRETE PRODUCTS, INC. Report of Planning Commission for Variance of Winchester Concrete Products Inc., said Variance being recorded on page 265 of this Minute Book, which is follows: The Frederick County Planning, Commission met at the Lee - Jackson Restaurant on November 12, 1960 at 1:30 P. M. with all members present. Chairman, E. Earl Shade presided. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the application for a Zoning Regulation Variance of Winchester Concrete Products, Incorporated, to convert a residence owned by applicant to an office building and to erect a sign on said building. 269 After a thorough discussion of,this request for a variance, Mr. Heishman moved that The Planning Commission recommend to The Frederick County Board of Super- visors that the variance be granted, this motion was seconded by Mr. Franks and upon vote was unanimously carried. There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 2:30 P. M. Frederick County Planning Commission By J. W. GOL LIDAY, Secretary WINCHESTER CONCRETE PRODUCTS, INC. - VARIANCE Upon motion.by Grover Teets and seconded by W. Hurl Himelright the following resolution was unanimously passed. Be it resolved that the petition of the Winchester Concrete Products Company, having been approved by the Planning Commission of Frederick County as recorded above, and in accordance with the plans and specifications submit- ted,, be, and the 'same is hereby granted. SHAWNEE LA ND - SECTION B - LOTS C THROUGH N Upon motion duly made and seconded plats of Marjec for extension B for lots C through N in Shawnee Land be accepted for preliminary consideration by the County Health Department and Board of Supervisors. Plat filed in Minutes. S HAWNEE LAND SECTION T lots 1 - 74 Upon motion duly made and seconded and unanimously adopted the following resolution was passed. Resolved that the final plat of sections T. Shawnee -land, sur- veyed on the 22nd day of September „ 1960 and deed of Dedication be accepted and ap- proved for recordation and the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors endorse upon the face of said plat the approval of the same. The plat has been approved and so en- dorsed by the proper officials of the County Health Department. SECONDARY ROUTE 681 - 1.2 miles north of intersection Route 522 I WHEREAS, Secondary Route 681, From 1.20 miles north interestion Route 522 to 1.80 miles north of Route 522, a distance of 0.60 miles, has been altered, and a new road has been constructed and approved by the State Highway Commissioner, which new road served the same citizens as the road so altered and, WHEREAS, certain sections of this new road follow new locations, these be- skethh ing shown on the attached /titled, "Changes in Secondary System Due to Relocation and Costruction"on Route 681, Project 34 -0681 -3311, dated at Edinburg, Virginia, October 28, 1960." NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the portions of Secondary Route 681, i.e., Section 1, shown in red on the sketch titled, "Changes in Secondary System Due to Relocation and Construction on Route 681, Project 34 -0681 -3311, dated at Edin- burg, Virginia October 28, 1960 ". a total distance of 0.15 miles be, and hereby is, added to the Secondary System of State Highway, pursuant to Section 33 -141 of the Code of Virginia of 1950 as amended; And further, that the sections of old location, i. e., Sections 2 and 3, I shown in blue on the aforementioned sketch, a total distance of 0.16 miles, be, and the same hereby is, abandoned as a public road, pursuant to Section 33 -76.12 of the Code of Virginia) of 1950 as amended. BURNING KNOLLS - Final Plat Section D Lee A. Ebert presented final plat of Burning Knolls Section D. for first reading was referred to the Highway Department for final inspection. BILLS PAYABLE Accounts totaling $10,591.09 were approved and ordered to be paid from the General County Fund by warrants 20161 to 20363 inclusive; livestock, fowl claims and Henry S. Bursey's Salary totaling $482.06 were approved and ordered to be paid from the Dog Fund by warrants 1929 to 1937 inclusive. PRESENT: B. 0. Brumback, Chairman, Paul Luttrell, W. Hurl Himelright, C. E. Garber, and Grover Teets. The purpose of the meeting was to examine the salaries of Robert L. Sheriff DeHaven/and Earl S. Bailey, Commissioner of the Revenue their Deputies and extra help requests for the year beginning on the first day of January,1961. CONDENSATION ROBERT L. DeHAVEN, EARL S. BAILEY Upon motion of Paul Luttrell and seconded by C. E. Garber the follow- ing resolution was passed. Resolved: - that requests of Robert L. DeHaven, Sheriff and Earl S. Bailey for their salaries, deputies, and extra help for the year beginning on the first day of January, 1961, be set at the same salaries and allowances as was allowed for the year of 1960.
