March 09, 1959213 l At the Regular Meeting of the Board of Supervisors of Frederick County, VirginiaT, held in the Supervisors over the Clerk's Office on the 9th day of-March, 1959. The minutes of the last meeting held on the 9th day of February 1959 were read 0 and approved. REPORTS Earl Cather, Harry L. McCann, Robert L. DeHaven, Joseph A. Massie Jr., Earl S. Bailey, John Wolfe, Agnes Shirley and Claude Coffman. Reports of Earl Cather, Game Warden; Harry L. McCann, Treasurer; Earl S. Bailey,; i Commissioner of the Revenue; Robert L. DeHaven, Sheriff; Joseph A. Massie, Jr., Commonwealth's Attorney; John Wolfe, County Agent; Agnes Shirley, Home Demonstration Agent; and Claude Coffman, Road Engineer; were read and approved. APPLE BLOSSOM COMMITTEE Upon request of J. P. Arthur of the Apple Blossom Committee that they be grant4 permission to use the Plaza for Amusements.Wedriesday through Thursday and Friday, April 29th, 30th and'May 1st, 1959. All equipment to be removed by early Saturday morning. Upon motion duly seconded, it was unanimously decided to grant the above re- quested permission; subject however; to the following restrictions; that no bricks be damaged, all damage to meters to be paid, no stakes be driven, no wires to be used; and further it is not to be used for living quarters. Bond Board. i is to be posted if declared necessary by said HENKEL M. LAMP - PLAT Upon motion duly made by B. 0. Brumback, and seconded by Grover Teets the following resolution was passed; x Be It Resolved, that the preliminary plat of Henkel M. Tamp Addition, Middle- town, Virginia, Subdivision, dated March 6, 1959, made by Richard U. Goode, be, and the same is hereby accepted for consideration by the Board of Supervisors of Frederick County,.Virginia, together with a profile plan of Church Street. DEED BOOK 107 Upon motion of Grover Teets and seconded by C. E. Garber,the Clerk is ordered to have Deed Book 107 repaired by W. J. Barrow, Document Restorer, State Library Building, 4 1 i Richmond, Virginia. The estimated price to be approximately $250.00. BOUNTY CLAIMS ON FOXES Upon motion duly made by B. 0. Brumback and seconded by L. R. Omps the follow- I ing resolution was adopted. Be It Resolved that all bounty claims for Foxes killed in Frederick County be paid out of the General County Levy, beginning on the first day of July, 1959. CEDARMEADE SUBDIVISION - RELEASE OF BOND Upon motion duly made and seconded the following resolution was adopted. It appearing to the Board of Supervisors of Frederick County that the streets in Cedarmeade Subdivision have been completed by the proprietor of the same and approved and taken into the highway system by the Department of Highways. Be It Resolved; That the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors send a letter to Hansbrough and Carter stating that the bond that was posted by the developer has been released. This applies'to Section # 2 only. i NORTHWESTERN HILLS SECTION ONE - BOND APPROVED F. J. Shaffer, President of the Virginia Land Corporation, Winchester, Virginia, presented a bond for the construction of the street known as Myrtle Avenue as recorded in Deed Book 256 page 182 .. Said bond was approved by the Board and by Claude Coffman, Resident Road Engineer, and delivered to the Treasurer of Frederick County, Virginia. • I DATE SPECIAL MEETING i Upon motion duly made and seconded, it is ordered that a Special meeting of the Board be held on the 17th day of March, 1959, for the purpose of laying the Levy for the year beginning on the 1st day of July 1959, and ending on the 30th day of June, 1960. ROADS - IMPROVEMENTS AND ADDITIONS As advertised, this day was set to hear requests for improvements and additions to the secondary roads.
