ZONING ORDINANCE ROUTE 11 NORTH At the meeting of the Zoning Ordinance which was advertised for a public hearing and its third and final reading , a number of persons appeared for and against its passage; and after due consideration, it was decided that no action would be taken. WELFARE - ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION if necessary Upon motion, duly seconded, it is unanimously agreed that /the Board appropriate two thousand dollars ($2000.00) additional appropriation to the Welfare Department I for the year of 1957 and 1958. Brumback,l the plats of Wilde - Acres, subdivision )f Holiday Development company, listed below, are hereby duly accepted and approved on final reading of this motion this 11th day of November, 1957, after having been received by the Board of Supervisors for a period of thirty (30) days, and after having been approved by the Frederick County Department of Health for pit - privies only, and the deed of dedication having been attached hereto. CEDARMEADE SUBDIVISION AND DEDICATION On motion duly made by B. O. Brumback, sec by Grover Teets, the plat for the revision of Cedarmeade Subdivision Section 2, together with the Deed of Dedi- cation of said revision is hereby accepted for final approval by the Board of Supervisors of Frederick County, Virginia. SUBDIVISIONS - ASSESSMENT OF LOTS Upon motion duly seconded, the following resolution w;s unanimously passed: 7 RESOLVED THAT: The Supervisors, in accordance with Sec. 58 -772 of Tax Code pertaining to Sub - division of tracts of land into lots, orders Commissioner of the Revenue to set up lot values on all sub - divisions of plats recorded since 1955. MEN'S REST ROOM Upon motion duly made and seconded, it is ordered that the janitor is ordered to lock the door to the men's rest room at 9:00 P.M. each evening until the first day after Christmas and thereafter, he shall kick the door at 5:00 P.M. on each evening except Saturday evening when said door shall be locked at 9:00 P.M. BOUNTY ON FOXES Upon motion of Grover Teets and seconded by B. 0. Brumback, it is ordered that the Bounty on foxes be reduced from Three Dollars to Two Dollars and Fifty -cents for each fox killed in Frederick County, to begin on the first day of January, 1958 and continuing until fur- ther notice; and further, that the tail be exhibited before the agent designated by the Board lwho will issue an order for the payment of said bounty. TRAPPING OF FOXES �)� Mr. Swink appeared before the Board and outlined a.fox trapping program for Frederick County; and on motion of Grover Teets and seconded by B. J. Brumback, the following resolution was passed: RESOLVED: That the Board adopt the trapping program as outlined; the season 10 Q q to begin on the 27th day of January, 1958, and continuing for a term of ninety days from the date thereof. C. E. artier voted against said resolution and B. 0. Brumback, L. R. Omps and Grover Teets voted for its passage. The Board requests that '"r. Swink, Earl Cather, John Wolfe and C. M. Rosehberger manage the said program. BILLS PAYABLE Accounts totaling $3768.65 were approved and ordered to be paid from the General County Fund by warrants numbers 19112 to 18145 inclusive; and livestock, fowl claims and Earl Cather's salary totaling $368.00 were approved and ordered to be paid from the Dog Fund by warrants numbers 1735 to 1738 inclusive. Brumback, the salary and expense account of the Treasurer beginning on the first day of January, 1958; salary $5400.00' deputy, office assistant, $4,980.00, extra help, $200.00, other expenses $1572.50; totaling $12,152.50. The expense account of the Commissioner of the Revenue, salary $4800.00, deputies, typist, clerk, extra help, $11,700.00, other expenses $1075.50, totaling $12,775.50. The salary of the Sheriff $4,500.00, deputies, matron, clerk and jail cook $10,680.00, other expenses $195.00, totaling $15 The salary of the Commonwealth's attorney, salary $4000.00, secre- tary, $1200.00 totaling $5,200.00. They were approved as fixed by the Compensation Board. IMPERIAL STREET * SECONDARY ROAD ADDITION I Upon motion of C. E. Garber and seconded by B. 0. Brumback, the iotlowing I resolution was adopted: BE IT RESOLVED, that Imperial Street located in the Wea -Villa Sub - division be added to the Secondary Highway System in Frederick County. Imperial Street intersects with Rt. 644 at a point 0.26 Mi. north of Rt. 652 and extends in a southeasterly direction to a Dead End, a distance of 0.24 mile. A 50 foot unrestricted right of way in guaranteed. This right of way is on record in the Clerk's Office of ther County of Frederick in Deed Book 250, Page 45. This street has been constructed by the Subdivider in accordance with Ordinance and Highway Department policy for subdivision streets. This street has been graded 26' wide, exclusive of aide ditches, has been surfaced at least 5 deep with crushed stone and sur- face treated 20' wide. i Upon motion of C. E. Garber andcseconded by L. North of Wentworth Drive to 0.03 M1. Soutl i of Wentworth Drive, a total distance of 0.07 Mile. Applecroft Road crosses Wentworth Drive 0.09 Mi. East of Rt. 11. A 56 foot unrestricted right of way is guaranteed. This right of waf is on record in the Clerk's Office of the County of Frederick in Deed Book 242, Page 365. These streets have been constructed by the Subdivider in accordance with Ordinance and Highway Department policy for subdivision streets. SPECIAL MEETING - BUDGET Upon motion, duly seconded, it is ordered that a special meeting be held on the 22nd of February, 1958, for the purpose of preparing the County Budget for the year beginning on the 1st day of July, 1958, and ending on the 30th day of De mter, 1959. ROADS - ADDITIONS AND IMPROVEMENTS The Regular Road Meeting, on requests for secondary road improvements and additions, will be held on the second Monday in March, 1958, at 10:00 o'clock A.M. ROADS - ROUTE 657 - APPROACH TO OPEQUON CREEK Upon motion, duly seconded,t he following resolution was adopted: WHEREAS, the Commonwealth of Virginia, through the Department of Highways, has prepared and submitted plans to the Board for the construction or improvement of a section of Route 657 of the State Secondary System, Project 0657 -034 -011 (old 1334- 11 -09) in Frederick County, North Approach to Opequon Creek, approved January 14, 1958; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this'Board that said road be improved in accord- ance with said plans. i y Y 1 88 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That this Board hereby approves the Fplans and requests the Department of Highways to proceed with construction in accordance there - I. with, and this Board hereby agrees to assist and cooperate in the acquisition of the right of way shown on plans as being required, it being understood that costs for such right of way are to be paid from Secondary funds allocated or to be allocated to Frederick County. It is further understood and agreed that in t he event one or more pro - perty owners refuse to execute a deed covering land required from their properties for right of way purposes that the Commonwealth of Virginia, Department of Highways, will institute and con - clude condemnation proceedings and that all costs are t o be paid from Secondary funds allocated or to be allocated to Frederick County.
