the Revenue; Joseph A. M Commonwealth's Attorney; Robert L. De Haven, Sheriff; Annie Sue
St. Clair, Welfare Department; Earl Cather, Game Warden; Dr. A. L. Lindall, County Health Unit;
Claude Coffman, Road Engineer; were read and approved.
Upon motion, duly seconded, the following resolution was passed:
BE IT RESOLVED' that Pickeral Drive in the Ethel Pickeral Johnston Sub-
division be added to the Secondary System in Frederick County, since this proposed addition
meets with the requirements of the Highway Department. A 50 foot dedicated right of way has
been provided and the street constructed with 36' x 5" surface treated surface and curb and
gutter on each side.
Pickeral Drive begins on the north side of Route 50 - 0.09 M1. west of
the WCL Winchester and extends in a northernly direction, a distance of 0.12 mile.
BORROW MONEY - FREDERICK COUNIY SCHOOL BOARD
.The following is a copy of a resolution, which was adopted-by the
Frederick County School Board on the 5th day of July, 1955:
The Frederick County School Board on this date decided unanimously to
purchase a strip of land 160 feet wide bordering the western side of the James Tood High School
lot and consisting of two parcels, one to be purchased from the Clyde L. and Margaret M. Eastman
tract and the other from the Helen Massey Candy Kitchen tract. The price of the parcel from
the Eastman tract is $3,056 and the price of the parcel from the Helen Massey tract is
$4,400.00. The Frederick County School Board hereby unanimously requests the Frederick County
Board of Supervisors to permit it to borrow $7,456.00 from the trustees of the Robinson Memorial
Fund at 6 per cent interest per annum in order to make these purchases and make settlement for
them in full.
Upon motion of Grover Teets and seconded by B. 0. Brumback, it is ordered
that the above request be and hereby is granted.
BILLS PAYABLE
Eccounts totaling $4020.48 were approved and ordered to be paid from the
General County Fund by Warrants numbers 16017 to 16057 inclusive; and Livestock, Fowl Claims
and Earl Cather's salary totaling $434.29 were approved and ordered to be paid from the Dog
Fund by Warrants numbers 1502 to 1512 inclusive.
UPON MOTION, DULY SECONDED, IT IS ORDERED THAT THE BOARD DO NOW ADJOURN.
