June 09, 1952�� At the Regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors of Frederick County, Virginia, held in the Supervisor's Room over the Clerk's Office on the 9th, day of June, 1952, P- R- E- S- E -N -T- C. M. Rosenberger, Chairman; Paul Luttrell, B. 0. Brumback, C. E. Garber and Grover Teets. The Minutes of the last meeting held on the 12th day of May, 1952, were read and approved. REPORT Earl Cather, I. Fred Stine, Agnes V. Shirley, Dr. Lindall, Earl Bailey, Harry L. McCann, Robert L. DeHaven, B. D. Fleenor. Reports of Earl Cather, Game Warden; I Fred Stine, County Agent; John Wolfe Assistant County Agent; Agnes V. Shirley, Home Demonstration Agent; Dr. Lindell, Health Unit; Earl S. Bailey, Commissioner of the Revenue; Harry L. 11cCann Treasurer; Robert L. DeHaven, Sheriff; B. D. Fleenor, Road Engineer were read and approved. ROAD BUDGET Upon motion duly seconded the following resolution was passed: Resolved, that this Board approve the 1952 -1953 tentative secondary road budget as presented. ROAD V IEWERS Upon motion duly seconded, it is ordered. that Sloan Volfe, A. F. Lillard, J. L. Heishman, C. S. Solenberger and Joseph L. Jolliffe be and hereby are appointed road viewers and it is further ordered that said viewers meet in the County Clerk's office on the 16th day of June, 1952 at 9 o'clock A.M. I YOTION TO BORROW MONEY Upon motion of B. 0. Brumback and seconded by Grover Teets which was unani- mously passed, it is resolved that the County through this Board borrow the sum of Five Thousand ($5000.00) Dollars, at interest at the rate of four (4) per cent per annum, from the Middletown State Bank to be used to meet current expenses and borrowed in anticipation of current revenue to be paid in ninety days. Said sum does not exceed 25% of the: anticipated income from the Gen- eral County Levy, and power and authority is granted to C. 14. Rosenberger, as chairman of this Board and Lee N. Whitacre, its Clerk to execute a note of the Board evidencing the above obligation. BILLS P.A'YABLED I Accounts totaling $3695 were approved and ordered to`be paid from the General County Fund by Warrants numbers 13758 to 13793 inclusive and Livestock Claims, Fowl Claims and Earl Cather's Salary totaling $218.85 were approved and ordered to be paid from the dog Fund by Warrant numbers 1260 to 1265 inclusive WITHHOLDING TAX - EXTENSION EMPLOYEES Upon motion duly seconded, it is requested that the State Office of the Virginia Agricultural Extension Service deduct withholding tax on the total salary of all Exten- sion Employees in this County. Total salary is understood to mean the total amount paid the individual including that portion which is paid by County funds. It is understood that, if this procedure can be put in effect, the County will make no deduction for withholding tax of that I portion of salary paid from County funds.
