BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
RESOLUTION
FISCAL YEAR 1999-2000 BUDGET AMENDMENT
WHEREAS, the Frederick County Board ofS upervisors, meeting in regular session on June
14,2000, took the following action:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors that the FY 1999-
2000 Budget be Amended to Reflect a Supplemental Appropriation in the Amount of$500,000.00;
and
BE IT FURTHER RESO L VED, that this appropriation represents funds received from the
Governor's Opportunity Fund to be used for HP Hood.
ADOPTED this 14th day of June, 2000.
Upon motion made by Charles W. Orndoff, Sr., and seconded by Margaret B. Douglas, the
above resolution was approved by the Frederick County Board of Supervisors, at their meeting and
public hearing held on June 14, 2000, by the following recorded vote:

Governor's Opportunity Fund
A Supplemental Appropriation in the amount of $500,000. is
requested to appropriate the funds received from the Governor's
Opportunity Fund to be used for HP Hood. No local funds are
required with this appropriation.
A public hearing is required pursuant to Section 15.2-2507 of the
Code of Virginia, 1950, as Amended, which requires amendments to
the budget that exceeds 1% of total expenditures in the adopted
budgeted or the sum of $500,000., whichever is lesser, must be
accompanied by publishing a notice of a meeting and a public
hearing. Any local governing body may adopt such amendment at the
advertised meeting, after first providing a public hearing during
such a meeting on the proposed budget amendment.
