Chairman, Frederick County Board of Supervisors 107 North Kent Street Winchester, VA 22601 Dear Mr. Shick1e: On March 11 th, 2002 the Middletown Town Council adopted A Resolution of Support of the Establishment of a New National Park in this area. A copy is enclosed for your information. We are of the opinion that the establishment of a National Park to preserve and promote the Civil War Battle at Cedar Creek would not only be of a significant value to our area but would benefit the entire county as well. We would very much appreciate it if the Board of Supervisors would consider the adoption of a similar resolution. Please contact Windy O'Sullivan of the National Park Service at 540-287- 0314 for any further information you might need. Thank you, in advance, for your consideration. Sincerely, ~~A John A.
