County, Virginia, held in the Supervisors Room over the Clerk's Office on the 8th day of
January, 1951.

The minutes of the last meeting held on the IIth day of December, 1950
were read and approved.

Reports of Earl Cather, Game Warden, I. Fred Stine, County Agent,
John Wolfe, Assistant County agent, Agnes Shirley, Home Demonstration Agent, Robert - I. DeHaven,
Sheriff, Harry L. McCann, Treasurer, Joseph A. Massie, Commonwealth's Attorney, B. D. Fleener,
Resident Road Engineer and Jane Gross, Public Welfare, were read and approved.
SALARY AND EXPENSE ACCOUNTS APPROVED
Upon motion duly seconded the salary and expense account for the year
beginning on the Ist day of January, I951 of the Treasurer, namely: $4,000.00 salary, Deputies,
Assistant and extra help $2,800.00 and other expenses $452.50.total $7,252.50. The Salary and
expense account of the Sheriff for the year beginning on the Ist day of January, I951; salary
00.00 Deputies, Jailor, Assistant Cook Matron, Clerk and Jail Cook $7,400.00 other expenses

5.00 Total $II,405.00. The Salary and expenses of the Commissioner of the Revenue, Salary
,300.00, Deputy and extra help $2,760.00 other expenses $360.50, total $6,420.50 and the salary
expense account of the Commonwealth's Attorney, salary $2,280.00 and Stenographer $480.00
1 $2,760.00 were approved � fixed by the Compensation Board.
Upon motion duly seconded it is ordered that the Treasurer transfer
from the Dog Fund to the General County Fund the sum of One Thousand ($I,000.00) Dolllars.
Accounts totaling $2,685.29 were approved and ordered to be paid
from the General County Fund by warrants numbers I2866 to 12905 inclusive and Livestock, fowl
claims and Earl Cather's salary totaling $I27.54 were approved and ordered to be paid from the
Dog Fund by warrants numbers I179 to 1185 inclusive.
SPECIAL MEETING
It is ordered that a Special Meeting be held on the 22nd day of
January, 1951 for the purpose of preparing the budget for the fiscal year beginning July I, 1951
and ending on the 30th day of June 1952.
It is ordered that the Board do now adjourn.
